…He also was reserved and lived isolated away from all life. Though Usher did suffer mental illness and isolation, he loved his sister very much and tried to take care of her. Montresor was clearly suffering from sort of mental illness by his extent of revenge on a friend. He also lived alone and was rather a dark person. These two characters were very similar because they both were insane, mysterious, and loved their family.
