To me, this is a pretty well-rounded essay in which Don Mathews has successfully argued on both his own position and his opponent's ground. It is a well-balance argument based on three Aristotelian appeals: Ethos, Pathos, and Logos. The use of language and the skills that he uses are valuable strategies for me writing my own arguments in the future.
