…statement 'excessive vanity leads to self-destruction' and goes on as if this is the main premise she aims to prove and most of her arguments do seem to lead in this direction, albeit in a confused way. By relating unrelated things, anorexia, body building and women's magazines and confusing the issue of whether our vanity is innate or learned she confuses her audience and ends up presenting a very weak case for modern day Narcissism.
