…actually join the 4-H club and have a cow of my own. But, the thought of trying to keep a cow in my backyard in our rural neighborhood kept me from fulfilling that dream. I never did own my own cow, nor did I ever experience that kind of attraction to bovines again in my life. But for a couple of days in the summer of my 10th year, I was a real life cowgirl.
