The Boer war was the result of the British being a greedy nation and wanting a part in everything. But instead all they ended up doing is creating a war, getting thousands upon thousands of people killed all for some gold and diamonds. The British government could have done more to prevent this war; all they wanted was to get the diamonds and gold by any means necessary since they were now denied mining rights.
