Confederation vs. Federal Model
Society often shifts ideals due to a catalytic event or events that forces a change. To shift the way a government works obviously has to show many flaws. What happened at the onset of America was too many flaws in the confederation system. So out of necessity, the framers shifted from a confederation to a federal model to lessen the confusion of both the central government and the people.
