chose was drugs and how their use affects young people's lives. Each text did fit my topic, but I was surprised at how many more aspects I found similar between them. I now see that any texts can be linked in some way through characterisation, themes or style. As any story is written with the intention to not only to be entertaining, but also to convey messages and this is done using these three aspects.
