How can two average towns in two different states contain so many differences and similarities? The towns are: Bedford, Massachusetts, approximate population of 12,000 and Cheyenne, Oklahoma, approximate population of 800. There are many differences and similarities in these two towns such as an economic aspect, a sociological aspect, and a historical aspect.

Both towns have desirable and undesirable qualities to be evaluated before deciding where to live. Economically it appears that Cheyenne is more cost effective to reside, however, Bedford provides many more employment opportunities that may lessen the economic differences. Both towns appear to be very similar sociologically when you consider the impact of the larger Bedford population. Both towns are rich with history and culture. I have enjoyed the opportunity to live in both towns.
