ness see straight through this mock up of a life. Both the poems look at social change and living out a lie which becomes apparent when older in the first poem but when younger in the second poem. They both use allusions to show how things are unquestioned, and both have a very similar tone and mood towards the end of the poem. I think I prefer the second poem, as it is more inspiring.
