…of the characters in the novel had their lives flipped upside-down on that fateful day of August 6, 1945. Hiroshima was totally ravaged and multitudes of people lost their lives however in the midst of all the chaos these six people were able to find the determination within themselves to rise above the pandemonium. Because of this, they were all able to make good out of a horrible experience and eventually go on to live happy lives.
