From a completely ethical standpoint, especially an Utilitarian ethical standpoint, the actions of David Tuff could be considered for the betterment of the society on the whole and therefore correct. …Company was right to fire Tuff, then they would be right to fire all who wrote and complied with the new policy towards drunk drivers because they also broke a previously written policy. Perhaps some leave without pay until the policy problems could be worked out would be a good idea. From a public relations perspective, it might actually be in the company's best interest to thank Tuff for bringing the problem to their attention.
