A year later Ben returns to Philadelphia. Two years later Ben is elected president of the Pennsylvania Society for Promoting the Abolition of Slavery, and he also serves as delegate to the Constitutional Convention. On April 17, 1790 Ben dies in Philadelphia, at the age of 84.
