…spring of 1945. With German out of the way America planned to bomb Japan into submission while their army was in China. America dropped two atomic bombs on Japan. The first bomb was dropped on August 6 at Hiroshima which killed at least eighty thousand people and poisoned countless other with radiation. The Japanese still not willing to give up received another bomb on August 9th that took another forty thousand lives. Japan surrendered formally on September 2.
