Overall I think Allen Ginsberg was a great poet. He had wild times and wrote peculiar pieces, but he did it with style. He was a poet, a songwriter, an actor, and a major influence on the beat movement and on other beatniks. Many people considered Ginsberg to be a supreme poet, and I think it takes a knack to understand and appreciate his work. Even though quite vivid and dramatic, his pieces are addictive.
