The Capstone program was a joint effort between the Federal Aviation Administration and the Alaskan aviation community to improve aviation safety and efficiency by putting cost effective and new technology avionics equipment into the aircraft. …model for the future National Airspace System (NAS). It reflects plans and concepts that NAS will be based on. At the end, it is Capstone's goal to melt seamlessly together with NAS to construct a superior airspace system to replace our outdated system that we have in place now. Capstone is a very good start to this goal and I believe if the time and money is put into this the rewards will be great.
