…the novel ends with Montag winning his battle. He won because now they can start a new civilization with people who can think and read. Montag realizes his mistake in becoming a fireman, and burning books. He knows that authors may not agree but that doesn't mean that what they are saying is irrelevant. It just goes to show you that sometimes one person can make a difference in this world, just look at Montag.
