Nebraska as a plain old western prairie land. When I think of Nebraska from now on, I will think of Antonia and Jim, the prairie, and the Bohemian, and Norwegian immigrants that made that part of the country colorful. One thing Cather reminded me of in this book is that memories are something solid, something that you can keep forever; Memories are realities, and are better than anything that can ever happen to one again.
