I have just finished the autobiography "A Rock and a Hard Place", by Anthony Godby Johnson, a then fourteen year old boy. This is one of the best school - related books I have read yet. It is a tale of a boy's life from being beaten and sexually abused to finding a new loving family to take care of him, to his discovery of having AIDS, but he does this all in a upbeat,

Even if it is fiction, but I think its non-fiction, the author of the book should be commended for being able to so twist the reader's feeling and thoughts around their little finger simply with words. This book makes you feel that AIDS isn't the wraith of God, it is a horrible disease that affects anyone regardless of their "deserving" it or not. It is one of the most compelling stories I have ever read.
