…fit completely snug into their mold of something to idolize. The most exciting part of the book for me is when I was reading Jefferson"'"s diary. This was the most tangible evidence that Jefferson was ready to stand like a man, and he had begun to have feelings. I also got giddily excited when Jefferson said that he liked Grant. That was one of the most poignant passages in the book for me.
